My definition of Motorsport....
This post was motivated by the recent criticism i've been getting about me entering my car at legal drag racing events...
MOTOR - ENGINE DRIVEN VEHICLE
SPORT - AN EVENT WHERE PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATE AND SPECTATORS SPECTATE,
now you choose do you wanna participate or spectate? cause ive been watching for years and now its time too play the game,
my choice is drag racing... its a bit dumb but its the most popular and safe and easiest race you can come across, many like too differ but the only hard part is launching a car, F1 and WR is way more harder....
my point is, how can you improve a car's performance if you dont know its current status...
my aim is too attend 3 legal events where theres no bullshit and nitrous cheaters, before i do any modifications, that way you can get an average time off the cars performance during its stages and basically you will know what works and what doesnt...
you might think you have wasted money but always keep you standard internals just incase,
i think legal racing is more fair , less excuses and realistically straight forward...l.
people want too complain about clutch , flywheel, injectors, mapping and all rubbish story's especially here in richards bay... but at a legal event, the timer talks! and your bullshit walks ;-)
my car did a 17s flat on a 400m and thats with an unfamiliar driver,
im hoping or a 16s ,which means im 1s away from a strong B Series VTEC,....
im sure a performance header ,exhaust and camshaft upgrade will get me there, which is quiet impressive considering the technology and power that these cars make,
my aim is too modifiy everything outside the engine too get the maximum out off the vehicle...
a stock engine will never break! i highly doubt it! keep the part quality genuine and service at recommended intervals, i really believe no standard engine will fail....
remember you can disagree with me , but someone who designs an engine has far more
knowledge bout engines than you and i, facts and science make up intelligence,
so if you're truly a speed freak, legal racing is for you!
